Installation Art

Post-Consumer Art Installation
This exhibit represents a collaboration of upper division art students and consists of two parts. An informational display fills the 2nd floor gallery and explains the nature of environmental and installation art and the process to create the large sculpture that dominates the lobby area.
I think this sculpture is interesting because it is made of plastic. It represents a treelike structure, extending through the ceiling opening to the 2nd floor and creates a canopy and a feeling of being overwhelmed by plastics. It is an important message to show the danger of environment that people do not pay attention to. Plastic bags also are interesting to play with since they are flexible, long lasting, colourful and also easily getted.
