Installation Art

Room Installation
Sam Davidoff
The objective is aided by the intentional misuse of the term, ‘self-portrait’, within the deceptive title. She feels this reflects the way society is deluded by today’s consumer market. The use of the repetitive Warhol style pattern is to emphasise the mass-produced world of consumerism within which we function. Consequently indicating to her awareness of this implied deception, but admitting to her own indulgence despite that fact.
It also is an example of illusion installation art. The space is vertical. The artist divided into two rooms that are the same. The message that the artist want to tell is very good. Mass production is common nowadays for the reason of globalization may be. The things you own is the same as mine. It losts personality. It is a good message that we can use in our installation.
